Yati Jaiswal was born in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in 1977.  He received his education in Delhi, the city where he continues to live and work.

His works are, as he likes to call them, condensed form of experiences.  These experiences could be personal or could have their roots dug deep into popular events or could even be just a sliver of a dream from the night before.  The language he chooses to paint, reminds one of surrealism.

The works are an eclectic mix of ideas and experiences evoking characters and environments from a parallel world.  He festoons this world with metaphors, epitomising his aspirations and disappointments.  He seeks in this virtual world, what could not be accomplished in the real world.
